Have had this rather quality case for about 4 months now (had the 900 before), and recently took the side off to change my gfx card, while i had the panel off i decided to clean the inside the case of dust, and was astonished at the amount of dust that the fan filters collected at the front of the case, but then though its been 4 months so at least its better on the filters than all in my system.

Anyway, about a week later i had to take the gfx card out as it was faulty, i check the fan filters again, and already just after less than a week there was already a layer of dust on the filters!!. My question is, is there an easy way to get at the fan filters without taking the side panels of (both of them), unscrewing the fan bays, sliding them outwards, and then lifting the filters out?? as this is a really long process and they are really easy to clean once out of the case its just getting to the buggers that is the hard part!

Well the easiest thing to do which is what I've done is to only use 2 screws on 1 side of the HDD bay.

If you look at your case from the front, I'm talking about the screws that are closest to the left hand side.

When you get the case, they come in a 2x2 configuration like below

I only have the 2 opposing corner screws in, as below.

Therefore, to clean the fan filters, I take the side panel off, unscrew 2 screws, slide the bay forward enough to get the filter out, clean and put it back as it was. Nice and easy :)

Hope it makes sense!

I use all 4 on left hand side but close enough. Amazing what a hoover this case doubles up as. Thank god for the dust filters daren't think what the old 900's were like

Yeah that makes sense, do you have 2 screws both sides or just the 1, thus not having to take both sides of the case off?? Im just thinking about any vibration noise you may get if you didnt have them screwed in at all!?

Hopefully the next Antect case, they'll design it so you can get at the filters from the front of the case so no need to open it all the time
