Antec 900 and Thermalright ultra 120

Really want to have both of these when i buy my new build but I cant seem to find a definative answer if the thermalright ultra 120 will fit in the case.

Does anyone have this set up and can confirm that it fits?

well the scythe ninja fits with a god bit of room to spare

Looking at the thermalright and scythe websites they say the ultra 120 is 160.5mm and the ninja is 150mm. Will the 10.5mm fit in the room to spare you mention. Would a fan for the side of the case fit in there as well as the cooler?

i know with the ninja some people cut the corner off the fan as the bolts got in the way... but i realised that the bolts are diffrent so it cleared. if you cut 1 corer off the fan you should be ok to fit it but if you have the cooler so the fan is blowing up or down it should fit no problem

Yeah I was planning on mounting it facing upwards so hopefully it will all fit.

Thanks for your help, didnt want to order all the stuff for my new build just to find it didnt fit together when it got here!

Yes I have considered it and having just looked again I have noticed it comes with a fan making it considerbly cheaper than the Thermalright!

I was however under the impression that it wasnt as good as the Thermalright and Im not sure if it will clear the RAM on the DS3P im getting as I will need to mount it facing upwards.

my noctula has the fan between the ram and the cpu if thats any help? so thats 70mm from the cpu centre to the ram slots... it will sit above the ram anyway

Good to hear it will sit above the RAM, I will have to have a look at a couple of reviews and make a decision. With the price difference I might well end up going with the noctua!
