this is mine from the 1st batch.

i had this installed in a corsair 800d and now it's in a haf-x.

i haven't seen a temp drop or rise and it must be down to this superb cpu cooler.

ill get some pictures up of it in my haf-x.

that looks pretty nice, temps seem quite good too.. Is the tubing different to the stuff they used on the corsair units?

"If you're familiar with other Asetek-sourced liquid coolers, you'll notice two things different about the Antec Kühler: first, there are two connectors wired to the pump, and second, the hoses connecting the pump to the radiator are thicker, soft rubber hoses rather than the smaller, stiffer hoses used on other coolers. "

so the question is, this or the h50?

Natural reaction would be the 620, it's newer and should have design improvements over the H50 based on lessons learned, however, the H50 is very competent, and is tried and tested with good results, over a longer period of time

Personally, i'd get this one

cheers, nice find :)

The question is tho will it be any better than my megahalems........

I dont think they will be, I know that the megahalems are much better than my previous cooler, but so was this one. I'm sure that Prolimatech air coolers will be a bit better than this Antec Kuhler 620.

This has a better pump than the H50 so say this (its the pump from the Corsair H70)

It performs the same as a H70 too, its less than 0.5 degrees off from the H70 results in a lot of tests with just a single fan, and if you add a second fan to it it becomes even better!

Found an interesting review here these results are with just the one fan installed on the h20.

I am waiting for the 920 :D I had the 620 on pre-order but missed out so had to wait for forever (or so it seemed) for them to back in stock, in the mean time the date for the 920 was set so I said sod it paid the extra £25 and ordered the it :D

Those are the same results I've been seeing in most places, actually it looks better than Prolimatech coolers now, Its just worst than the V6 GT and D14 coolers (I was thinking of getting a V6 GT actually, but I never realised it was that good!).

But from what I saw with mine was that adding the second fan, either a fan screwed directly onto the unit or a spotcool fan blowing on it reduced my temps by an extra 1-3 degrees, putting it ahead of the H70 and on par with some of the best air coolers around.

The H50 isnt even in the same league as the Antec Kuhler, that thing just looks stupidly bad. The Antec looks to be even better than a H70 with 2 fans installed for £46!

Now that thing will be interesting, the radiator is twice the size, and the 620 is already plenty overkill :D

It looks like the 620 is capable of handling an I7 up to around 1.4v, so the 920 might actually manage to provide decent cooling for up to 1.45-1.5v!

But if people want cheap and awesome cooling, the 620 with two fans installed onto it is unbeatable cooling for its cost.

I really dont understand why Antec didnt sell this unit with an extra fan and 4 more screws lol, it cant have made it more than £5 more expensive. The fan that comes with it is impressive, its silent and pushes a lot more air out of my case than my coolermaster LED fans previously were. Using higher RPM fans on my previous Asus cooler didnt make any difference because the heatsink was already really efficient enough with low RPM fans. With these water coolers, the higher CFM over the radiator, the better they cool .....

Hmmmm, I did find my 60 db Delta fan while I was rummaging around for my spotcools .... Now if only I also had some ear muffs I'd try it out lol.

I think just to keep the price point down to encourage sales, it's still tempting just to see what it's like, even if it's not quite a good as my Ven X.

Yes it is this is one reason why I paid the extra out for the 920, I knew the 620 was very much eagerly anticipated and then some so it will be interesting to see how the 920 version fares in comparison. Add to this that the 920 comes with a second fan already makes life easier for people to begin so they can just install it and away they go.

The reviews I have read about the 620 put it on par or better than the H70 now if the 920 is even better still then it will be an absolutely epic cooler!

But still, +4 of the fan screws would be nice :(

I dont have any screws that are the right size to fit, does anyone know where I can get more of them from?

Yes it would m8 I don't get why companies send out spare screws just in case. On a side note and perhaps a little off topic has anybody else waited for the 920 instead of the 620?

Temp near 90C is pretty poor indeed. I never get mine over 74C for 4.20GHz with my Noctua D14.

I'll take it that your CPU doesnt require as much voltage as mine right?

You have a magic chip that does 4.2 Ghz at around 1.3v I bet. My previous cooler and this one wouldnt have had any problem on a lower voltage chip, but I have a bad I7 that needs 1.38v for 4.2 Ghz.

And your sig says you have your chip at 4.4 Ghz. Mine will immediately Bsod in prime at 4.3 Ghz with even 1.425v.

Want to trade CPUs and see how well your D14 fares? :p

My options were get a new cooler for £46, or get a new CPU for £200, or £400+ because I only wanted an I7 970 as an upgrade to this. I think the better cooler was a much wiser choice, and I'll just keep the chip that I have.

I'm going to order one of these tomorrow. Can anyone suggest a fan to use as the second? And should it be set up in a push/pull configuration?

Only £3 for a tricool:

And yes, push pull is how it should be set up. The default setup with a single fan has the fan pulling air out from behing the radiator, but theres nothing blowing air onto it. Adding a push fan in front of it makes it a bit more effective.
