Antworks, my ants not doing anything?

hi all

got myself and antworks farm

got about 8 ants in there (been in a few hours) but they're yet to start digging :mad:

do they take a while to get used to new environment or something? i found them under a rock in the garden, just 'normal' black/dark brownish ants

You're supposed to feed them mustard, to start them off.

I remember someone saying in a previous thread that 'normal' ants are a bit crap at digging.

My Antworks was crud tbh.
I couldent get them off the paper that the ants come on, and so they didnt dig for a long time.
Eventually they dug a tunnerl or two, before just giveing up and dyeing off.

How in the heck were you supposed to get them off that damned paper anyway?

My flatmate got a sachet of ants in the mail - they dug about half a cm down then rolled over and died slowly. Good game.

You have to send off for the proper ants and they send them through the post.
