I'm on the upgrade road and man it's really tough I need a spread sheet for all the options and that's before I make the choice between AMD and Intel lol

I'm currently on ASUS P5QPRO E6400 and 4870 ATI card.

I was thinking along the lines of buying another 4870 and Xfiring the cards

But the mobo cpu and ram combos are just very difficult to understand 4 core or 6 core, USB3, SATA 6 etc....

Be nice if the overclocked bundles section contained an non-overclocked bundles option. I know I could probably research it myself but it could be something like "this is a good recommened option for each budget type. "

Much like the pre-built systems.

but they have systems and overclocked bundles already I don't want an overclocked bundle just the system bundle without tower or PSU

I know the guys on this forum are the best as sorting through build specs...if they had some pre-made bundles I might not need to ask ;)

thanks guys any reason for sticking with intel when you can get

for 135 quid

Scrub that just looked and it compares to the I5 760 2.8

Ok supposing I go down the Intel I5 route what's the best mobo P55 or H55? I'd like to have some future proofing so SATA 6Gb and USB3 .

I'll keep my 4870 ATI card for the moment...

I'll need some ram as well seems like there are 3 flavours to choose from 10 12 or 14k dual channel. Also will 4GB be ok can't see me using any more than that to be honest. Mostly used for Gaming.

thanks for the update

i'm going to wait until Jan to see what intel brings to the table and see if there are any price drops at the end of the month.
