Have a gander on steam, no need to leave the house or wait for a disc to arrive and plenty of great games on there. I guarantee you won't have them all!

In which case, I'd go into the big list of all the steam games on their site and organise by metascore. Go from the best downwards, and any you haven't played yet will almost certainly be worth a shot (as long as the price is reasonable!).

I received my copy today. Its a very polished winter olympic sports game but cheap, looks good & easy to pick up & play but takes a bit of practice to master.

Battlefield Bad company 2 beta is released in 13days and lasts for 1 month. You need to preorder the game from play.com to get beta access though. what you could do is preorder from play.com, play the beta for a month, then cancel your order if you don't like the game.
