And in terms of the original topic - I don't use hair straighteners, my hair is never allowed to grow long enough to need them, in fact the clippers will be used pretty soon.

There are no steps between taking a bit of care over yourself and being completely narcissistic in your view? Taking pride in your appearance as with most things has various levels - some may be beyond what most would call a healthy level.

I'd also suggest that many of the comments are made somewhat tongue in cheek.

I used to have long hair but then I started balding

Hair straighteners are a godsend but the amount of times I've accidentally burnt my ears is not funny. Love the silky smooth finish!

Now I have to settle for balding pathetic lump of stumpy hair
