Well, I don't think it worked
I put it back in the PC and when the fan on the graphics card heatsink tried to spin up it wouldn't move seeing how the fins had all deformed and melted, the on screen display was still corrupted too.
I'm not dissuaded though! I'm confident that this fix will definitely work seeing as it's worked for loads of other people, so logically it has to work for me. I'm thinking that my card might be more like a soufflé though, which sometimes taste better when twice cooked. Hence I have begun to reheat the oven for round 2, this time the temps are increasing and so is the time the card will be in there.
Thank god my housemates aren't in otherwise they'd probably say this is one of the most idiotic things I've ever done and try and stop me! Ha! I'll show them when I've got a working graphics card to show for the rancid smell now permeating the kitchen and front room, and a little bit of upstairs too.
