Any reason not to get the S3 now?

Ah, I stand corrected then!

I guess it depends what you classify as expensive. I'm guessing that the new devices will probably be over £500, possibly even £550 or something like that. After buying iPhones my judgement has become clouded as to what is an expensive SIM-free device!

Agree with the Nexus devices though. Might actually pick one up if they come out within the return period of my S3, but that is looking unlikely...!

It's the usual Android cycle, there's always something new coming. Nothing is going to properly beat the S3 for a while though, there's nothing that can be dramatically improved yet. So the forthcoming phones at the moment will all just be very similar at best, if one pulls ahead slightly it will be just that - slight. There's not a thing that's missing on the S3 or any issues (we will have JB and CM10 by the time the others get here), very complete package and huge user base.

iPhone 5 or Lumia 920 if you want something really different.

Yup, pretty much guaranteed they will be, possibly the likes of the HTC one X5 and LG being around £550 (if specs are true) I personally would not spend over £500/£30 a month on any phone, no matter what god like specs it has :p

And yeah, not much can be improved on the GS 3, it has pretty much everything you would need. However, the design/looks could be vastly improved IMO and would also prefer them to completely re-design the touchwiz colour scheme and their stock apps :p

Nor would I. Absolutely insane how people can spend £900 or more on a phone over two years.

The design is okay at best, and TW is awful IMO (they've basically brought Android 1/2 "styling" into Android 4!). But...as I said the S3 thread, that's what AOSP is now for :D
