Any reason why this isn't a good deal?

It's the top deal on Orange.
I know it's a clearance phone but that doesn't bother me (in other words it's been returned within 7 days and may not have the proper packaging).
My first mobile back in the late 90s was on Orange and the network never let me down with coverage everywhere I went so it must be better now (!).

This works out at £14.58 a month over 24 months (anything I've got to be aware of?)

Anybody used mobiles.co.uk? (they do say they are a part of Carphone Warehouse).

Anything at all I should be worried about?

That is a good deal and will be absolutely fine, however you need to be aware of one thing.

You have to pay the bill, and then send the bill back in to redemption to sign off, so you claim it back. It varies but can take a while.

Other than that, go for it. Mobiles.co.uk are great.

If you don't fancy the redemption faff then Quidco has a good Orange deal atm. http://www.quidco.com/mobiles/orange/ the first 'deal + cashback' down the page (runs out on the 28th)

For the same phone/contract: £99 for the Galaxy S (or £150 for the DHD ;)) + £17.50pm for Dolphin 25. With the £80 quidco cashback that works out at £18.30pm.

I'm a bit lost here.
Will a bill come in every month or at the end of 24 months?
Can you explain 'the bill' a bit more please.

I'm completely lost here (old man mode) and I've been clicking all over that page.
I need a step by step guide to what I'm getting, where the tariff is and where the phone is.

You pay the £25 per month. Then, within 60 days of paying the £25, you send the relevant documents back to Mobiles.co.uk and they refund you the money.

Or something like that anyway, I haven't actually done it but some people on here have.
 
Ah the age old galaxy S vs HTC Desire conundrum. If it helps, I have used both for 3+ months (thanks work) and in the end went with the S despite it being huge. It's about 50:50 which you'll prefer but the current desires don't have the amoled which may be an issue depending on how bright you like your phones. Both are excellent phones, either way you go - you'll be 100% fine.
 
In short, it depends whether you value the software over the screen contrast and size.

If Software/Build quality = Desire, if Hardware/Screen = Galaxy S.

The software is exactly the same. Only difference is HTC add the SenceUI. While touchwiz app launcher isnt as good as Sense i personally prefer the touchwiz interface when i have installed LauncherPro.
I have used both and sense for 1 1/2 years and it isnt all its cracked up to be.
I have to admit that HTC make some sturdy phones that feel like quality but thats at the expense of weight. I prefer the lighter less robust and it doesnt drag your trouser down when in your pocket. My HTC phone though is as mint as the day i bought it. So is my Galaxy s but its a whole year newer.
 
You pay £25 per month and then after 6 months (and then 9, 12 etc) you have to send a copy of the bill in. They email you back within days and you get a cheque about 2 weeks later. They have limits to how long after your bill you can submit a claim. I was a bit sceptical about these sort of deals, but its worked out fine for me. I suppose they make their money by people who either cba or just forget to claim.
