shaky hands?
Nope.
here is the exif info from one blurred one at random. Taken on Auto mode. Still good light so no flash came on even though flash is on auto. anyone see anything wrong with this?
shaky hands?
Having done a little gentle probing, the Ixus does seem to have a reputation for poor quality images in low-light conditions, mainly due to the stupid amount of pixels packed into a sensor the size of a gnat's suitcase.
I'm not entirely sure that 1/80th of a second on a sensor that small is going to be adequate. Something tells me that you might get a touch of shake if you're not absolutely still, but at the same time I can't believe both of you are doing something wrong, if that is even the answer.
What sort of shutter speeds are you seeing from all of these blurry images? And do you have any sharp images that were shot at the same speeds? And lastly, was the IS enabled?
Just return the camera as faulty - if the camera does not produce acceptable images and the settings are fine then you should be able to return it - it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold. There's no need to lose out by trying to flog it on fleabay.
