Any suggestions for an old horse..

I have an old desktop replacement laptop built on a Clevo x7200 that I can't bear trashing, at the time back in 2010 it was a pretty hefty beast (price, performance and weight >5kg!)

Core i7 950 at 3.07 GHz (4 core, bloomfield)
3 x 2Gb Corsair RAM
2 x GTX 460M SLI
128GB C300 SSD
500Gb WD

Any suggestions on what use I can do with this other than landfill?

Sell it on if you have no use, people still by them as the X58 mobos are rare and can take the server cpus (Xeons)

Do you do any video editing or anything? you can easily get a X5650 cpu and chuck it in and you will have quite a decent PC. Double check the CPU support on the mobo first tho.

I have a I7 950, Asus mobo with 6GB of ram and its still going well in games, I do light video editing but nothing major.

Still better than a lot of so call budget gaming laptops. If fully working sell it.

Thanks. I might see if I can get the SLI working on a few newer games (Ark: Survival, ED) and see how it performs.

I find the I76 950 still does well with games, i play the Dvision and my son plays a lot of the Lego games and Garden warfare 1 and 2 and no issues to report.
