Two of my friends in a nearby hotel have a Filipino band. He plays guitar and has a laptop for backing music. She sings. They knew that I used to play the trumpet (although they don't quite realise how long ago it was that I played).
To cut a long story short, I have to go with them tomorrow (at the latest) to make a short video of me playing with them. It is significantly in my interest to do so. And I will only need to do this one time. But I have no idea what to play with them. I am decidedly rusty to say the least, so I need to think of a song, which is the typical pop song you might expect the average Filipino hotel bar band to play (whatever age, from Hotel California to Lady Gaga), which has some trumpet in it which is not too difficult to play. I doubt I could reach anything too high, and I only really have tomorrow morning to practise it.
Any ideas?
