Any Unreal Tournament fans?

Oh man I was awesome at that game (vs my co-workers/friends, at least)
 
Still play UT GOTY almost daily, especially while on boring conference calls. :) There are still a lot of servers out there also, continually getting new mods and maps. Lately I've been playing "Monster Hunt" servers -- team up with as many people as you can and go through a map, start to finish, destroying everything in your path.

The most likable feature of UT is the ease of gameplay. Run, jump, shoot. None of those fancy complex requirements that modern day games have.
 
Still great games, I have UT99 on my netbook and 2004 on my PC still. I remember being amazed at the time how well UT2004 ran on really low end machines, I remember running it on an Athlon XP2000 and Radeon 9200 card which was woeful even when it was released. One of the best and most efficiant game engines ever made imo.

Still can get regular 32 man games on UK based WAR servers every night, as well as VCTF and BTA (of varying populations).

Some of us die-hards don't know when to give up on UT :)

UT 2004 is certainly my most played game ever, Quake II comes 2nd. That said I haven't played any games at all for around 5 yrs now!
 
I've been trying to do some recordings, but whenever I hit the hotkey it just wont record.

I'll need to look into this. But it'd be pretty cool if we could get a server up and running and get online at some point!
 
The most fun I've had playing online and that hasn't changed in over decade.

I really do miss all the clan matches and community flamewars (wireplay), sad as it sounds :p
 
Playing as a nali war cow and instagib capture the flag are some of my favourite moments in fps gaming. Great fun (especially the gestures!)

I was playing iCTF just last night and have fond memories of my old Clanbase days.

I was in DCE if anyone remembers them :D

I wish more modern games would go back to simple style UT had. Small maps and fast gameplay that relied solely on skill.

I really don't like all this 'levelling' up crap and spray n pray weapons that litter the popular stuff these days.

God I feel old. :D
 
UT is the best game ever imho. So much fun, brill music, classically fantastic maps. Morpheus anybody?
I bought all the versions of it on pc, but what was the difference with the GOTY?
I used to love the custom maps too, like the one where you're on a giant breakfast table, that was cool, running up giant spoons and jumping into cereal bowls etc.
However, I always found that the servers were more populated with bots and my ping was higher on UT than any other online games i play.

UT was excellent. I remember growing up playing this, it was one of the first FPS games I played. It came free with a PC we had bought.

Quake III was equally awesome!
 
Trying to play this yesterday on Steam but I kept getting a connection failed rejected by server error, anyone know what this is? Cheers.
 
Been playing a bit of instagib (point & click) UT over the last week or so. Cant find any decent DM or TDM servers so having to make do with CTF which I always hated cos it's too taxing on my brain :D

Jailbreak is fun though :)
