My Xenserver is in a poor state, the NIC config is completely buggered. The server boots and picks up the NICs but when I go to set a NIC as the management interface it complains with an unexpected error message message.
Now I've done the normal xe pif-xxx commands to remove all the NICs and reintroduce them but still get the above.
Now is there a way to re-grope all the hardware as I think the problem is that although the NICs are listed there's a problem with the overall hardware list.
Failing the above how can I back up the existing VMs so that I can trash it and do a re-install, bear in mind that I can't access the server from the network so it has to be something I can do on the console. I have a spare hard drive that I could install in order to backup the VMs.
