Just went to send a text to a few people and i'm having the exact same issue. Takes ages to go into contacts and select someone, then texting is incredibly delayed. I don't have an over-average amount of contacts or anything.. Texting the missus the otherday was smooth as butter.
Anybody else's 3g freezing a lot?

As I was already in the apple store today I had the genius bar have a quick look at my phone. He said he hadn't seen the slow testing issue sofar but then hadnt had a lot of time with the new ones. He suggested a restart, if that doesn't work a reset of the phone settings, and if that doesn't work a full restore. I'm hoping this will be something sorted in the 2.1 firmware.. Seems odd that typing this now is absolutely flawless, yet testing is so diabolically slow.

Well, I did a full reset and it appeared to fix the issue - fifth time lucky I guess!
I did notice that ninja firmware update though! From 35 to 37 in the space of half an hour!

Not the first time, but it did the second time... then for some reason, when I did it the fifth and final time, it changed back to XXX35 in settings>general>about... so I'm stumped!
It's working now though so I'm not going to complain although I do admit to being a bit confused as to why it now says XXX35?!

I waited for iTunes to update my V1 phone to 2.0 firmware and everything is working fine.
These people on V1 phones with the issues did they manually update beforehand?
Of course this still doesn't answer why 3G phones have issues.

My iPhone 1.0 has been crashing loads since upgrading to 2.0. And this is compared to a Jailbroken 1.1.4 I had previously that hardly ever crashed despite plenty of 3rd party applications being installed.
Even had it lock up on the Passcode screen when unlocking it.

I've reported all my issues at www.apple.com/feedback maybe we should all do the same, and hopefully something will be done quicker.
I used my gf's touch last night, which has had 2.0 since day one. It was awful. Sadly my jailbroken touch was in the middle of the upgrade process for 2.0 (only took 3hrs!) and now that it is done, it stutters in the same areas hers does.

DONE! although strangely the issue isn't as apparent as it was yesterday. Hmm!
Just opening Shazam to demonstrate it (Always happens when you do that eh!) to a friend and upon trying to listen to the song the whole phone just crashed... But didn't quite crash, it would respond, eventually.. Took me about 5 minutes to restart it.
