Greetings peeps.

I'm currently waiting to be disconnected from my current ISP so that I can take on another service provider and I've been looking at Bulldog. I've just come off of the phone to them and they've told me that I can get between 6/8 meg speeds at my exchange for £19.50  My current ISP was providing a 1 meg line for £27.99 so it makes sense to swap. The thing is, I'm always really sceptical about trying something new for the first time incase it turns out to be a disaster, so I was wondering if anyone here uses Bulldog and what are your impressions of them
Help me make up my mind please :D

hello

i was with pipex for 3 yrs, i left them last month, poor price etc for 1mb.

The £19.50 package is unlimited and upto 8meg, i get 3mb , my line stats are terrible, my max before was 1mb.

You do need to have your BT phone line ported over to bulldog though, or you can have another line fitted for £1 i think it was, you still have to pay rental though , i think thats £11.50 a month + your £19.50.

People do complain about the billing, like 5-6 months without a bill then wham, £200 from your bank account, things like that.

if you do go bulldog, id reccomend the belkin router 7633, its awsome with the bulldog service, better than my netgear dg834g and gt.

read up on bulldog here :

Hmmm, this line ported thing has got me a little confused :( So if I went with them I would pay the £19.50 for the broadband and then an additional £11.50 on top of that to have my line ported  Do I need to have my line ported?
Is there an idiots guide to what the heck ported is all about :D

yes you have to swap your bt line over to bulldog, bulldog do it all. you will then pay everything to bulldog and not bt.

so if its your parents that pay the bill you will have to ask them, lol.

been with them for 11 months, my phone line is with them and not had problems, you will still keep your current tel number and you will not get any bills from bt. my line syncs to around 6 meg which is fine and overall happy with them.

oh and it takes around 3 weeks for them to connect you to their service :/
