Hi all,

I'm just weighing up my options on which uni to go to and I'd like to get some information from those of you who have studied at UWE.

Firstly, what's the uni like as a whole? I've applied to do economics and UWE seems to be quite decent for that particular subject. Is the teaching/general atmosphere any good?

What's the student accomodation like? How much should I expect to pay?

Am I right in thinking that Bristol Business School is right in the centre of Bristol?

Cheers.

I'm a first year at UWE, and would say it's fine so far :).

I'm not living in student accommodation so cant comment on that.

One thing I will say, UWE was Bristol Polytechnic..... so be prepared for lots of **** taking. However UWE is ranked 61st in the league tables, so is actually mid table.

The school is not in the centre of Bristol, nor is it within walking distance. It is a 30 minute bus ride away to the frenchay campus which sits near where the M32 and M4 meet. This is also where the bulk of UWE and its student accomadation is located.

Bristol is a brilliant City, you will have a lot of fun :)

But UWE is a treck away...!

in my day, academic standards were poor, and faculty organisation worse....

i had fun though, and i still live in bristol, long after graduation
