G'Mornin!

So as titled really, is anyone here a member of the IMechE? I'm on a pre-university industrial placement and can get free membership and am in the process of signing up.

So are any OcUK-ers IMechE-ers?

So what do you get out of being a member?

incorperation or chartership with an institue gives many plus points when looking for jobs.

effectively it shows a level of competancy to execute work to a high/specialist standard and competancy.

many of our clients will not take lead engineer roles to be filled by someone without chartership in their field.

incorperated for design leads. chartered for engineering leads.

and you will get a monthly newsleter etc
