i'll be spending 2 days in Saigon, and 2 days in Singapore. I've a day to spare...where shall I spend it?

Also

WHat shall I do in singapore?

What shall i do in saigon!!

As a citizen of Singapore (:p) I recommend:

Raffles Hotel: Tiffin room, not to stay over unless you can afford it :p
Sentosa: Island resort :)
Orchard Road: Practically anywhere, just walk around :)
Esplanade, Suntec City, and Marina Square: These three are very close to each other
Chinatown
Little India
Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, and Night Safari

If possible!, try and visit the The Equinox!

For electronics:

Funan Centre: Lots of floors containing lots of shops which sell similar things so you'll have to go around comparing prices.
Sim Lim Square: Same as above.

You won't be able to go to all these places in two days :o

Well.. from what I've heard Singapore is good for clubbing but I've not been back for almost 6 years :(

Anyway, typical recommendations include, Zouk, Ministry of Sound and there's a website dedicated for clubbing in Singapore here if that's any help?

I'm not up to clue on hostels in Singapore sorry :(. I'm sure Google will help you out on this though :)

If I manage to speak to anyone (it's almost 5AM in Singapore) about hostels I'll get back to you!

I've only been to Singapore for a day (en route to Penang then Bangkok and finally Tokyo) but I can give one bit of advice:

Smuggling chewing gum inadvertantly through customs in your bag isn't big or clever.
