Hi Guys

Anyone been to Turkey for the F1 ? Me and some mates are thinking about doing it for a week (leaving the 26th and coming home on the 2nd) so we have some time to enjoy the sunshine and relax too. Ive been looking at it and it appears the circuit is in the middle of nowhere which makes travel difficult and if im honest no one is going to want to drive ..... Ofcourse there are packages but these are normally very expensive and also only offer for the 3 days.

I know its a bit of a long shot but if anyone has been in the past there help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Sam

Hey Sam, I hope all is well mate, the Scooby looks spot on, do you have a gallery of your past-motors & road-trips?

Right onto business! The Istanbul Grand Prix is quite possibly the WORST date on the calendar. The race promoters have found it really difficult to get the crowds in & its actually meant to be quite an expensive ticket. If you've got your heart set on attending make sure you pick up a Kangaroo TV, fantastic bit of kit. May/June is a good time to visit the country if a touch dry/hot.

All in all I would say that you would have to be an absolute F1 fanatic to consider doing the Turkish GP, to be honest mate I would consider Valencia (end of June) or Monza (mid Sep) if you want the mega F1 buzz & also some chill out sunshine.

Hi Mate

All is good, the subaru was sold a few months ago :( Im currentley driving around in a transit connect :p Im afraid i do not unless your on facebook all my photos are on there if so feel free to add me - Sam Pryor

The reason i looked at turkey was actually because of the cheap tickets -http://www.turkeygrandprix.com/index.htm It seems you can get a 3 day pass for 65 euros. Also we wanted to stay for a week to enjoy the beer and sun and to make a bit of a summer holiday out of it as my only other holiday is going to be the nurburgring and as nice as that is its not really that "chilled out"

All the other venues (excluding germany and belgium which do not intrest us) seem to be a lot more expensive ticket and location wise ... If im honest im starting to think the idea may need to stay that way (just an idea)

Hmmmm ...
