Anyone care about motion controls anymore?

Pretty excited about motion control in terms of social gaming fun and also the way it can compliment games such as Heavy Rain and Flight Control HD, and presumably fps's :)

Some games are more suited to particular control implementations and I'm happy for developers to use different methods as long as it's not motion control for the sake of motion control etc.

So, now that Kinect and move has been out for several weeks now, is everyone still playing the supported games? It seems like no one is talking about them anymore. Maybe after xmas people will start talking about them again.

I am only interested in Move with games that are coming out in 2011 (Dead Space,Killzone 3 ect).

Don't have kinect so I can't comment too much on it but I've tried kinect sports for about 30 minutes and the tech is better than I thought, I just think the it needs more time for better games.

The trouble that developers face is a divided userbase. It's the same with the Wii Motionplus - Wikipedia lists fewer than 30 games that even support it, and just a handful that require it. That's utterly pitiful. But then who wants to develop a game that only half, or less, of the install base can play?

Kinect and Move will struggle in the same way - third parties don't want to develop a game knowing that only a fraction of the market can play the game.

I'm wondering if I should get this for xmas, never thought about buying it but might be a fun thing to play with in the holidays.....

wondering if it'll be any fun playing it on your own, seems more of a party/family thing

So, do you think Kinect and Move will be packed in with the next gen of consoles? I don't see Sony or Microsoft stopping support for Move/Kinect or putting out new versions for the next gen.

Not sure how much that would cost as they would have to also add standerd controllers as well. £900 for PS4?

I think that whatever the game it will only ever appeal to half of the install base. I hate football and hate football games even more, I also detest driving games yet I am part of the install base. I dont think that I am unusual in my proclivities, so does the developer ignore me and those like me ?
