Anyone else find sigs really annoying?

Small tidy ones like those used on this forum are nice... they add a little colour to what would be an otherwise bland colour scheme and can have an identifying function.

Some forums are just ridiculous though.

I tend to recognise people more by sig than by name.

I like them, i find that it helps me to identify some posters too.

Like someone said...its a kind of small insight into what a person may like or be interested in.

I'm guilty of thinking how lame they are to have a generic gaming icon + swirly background.
I turn them off, I'm only interested in what people say.

I think of them like tattoos, they are only of interest to other people with tattoos, and it's just another thing to put up with if you want to share the same virtual space with other people.

Sigs are fine on here, I'd even say they are a little small.

I know one forum though where someone has a sig that's more than 600 high... terrible.
