Anyone else had a Crucial M225 fail on them?

I've seen two M225's fail now - although I have purchased a lot of them.
On the plus side - Crucial replaced both M225's with C300's.
So no complaints from me.

Mine has failed Today. Red led is immiting from the drive . Not happy. Ive seen your post on crucial forums too.

I can recommend the retailer rma route if you want to revaluate your decision.

With the cash in your account you're free to go whichever way.

With a replacement from crucial your committed to your previous decision - size and cost.

btw i think the original amount of warranty you used on the M225 has effectively gone - so if you had it for 1 year and get a new C300 say - you have 2 yrs of the 3 left on the warranty. at least thats how i think it works.

My M225 died last week and I have just filled in the RMA. Exactly the same as yours, red light shows through screwhole but no matter where I plug it into nothing can see it :-(

I finally managed to submit an RMA request only to get an email back asking me to "check the memory modules are seated correctly in their slots" !!

Obviously a waste of time submitting the part number and describing the fault as they ignore it and send a generic reply.

Just received my RMA code but I note the following line -

Please note, due to quality and tracking reasons removal/tampering with the warranty label or modification to Crucial Branded product will result in us not accepting your request to return the product.

Apart from the sticker on the front of the SSD mine has no warranty label and never did have. Does anyone else's M225 have a warranty sticker on it?

Mate the only warranty sticker is like the one I posted and mine is on the side of the cardboard packaging it came in so I really wouldnt worry about it. Make sure you post it recorded.

Oh and for record mine has a red led light glowing inside but its working fine (so far).... read post further up :)

Could any of you fellas with the drive have a look inside your case and see if you have a red led light inside your SSD casing ? Cheers

Can be seen (or not as case may be) at the sata / power end connections.
