anyone else know someone who's had a baby over the past week

Mid twenties to around 30.

I don't see how I have been singled out when I agree. I was just asking because I was curious

Around 'that age' + this unusual thing might make it stand out more to you than to other people in this thread who are maybe older/younger.

no you weren't you (like a few others) jumped the bandwagon without actually reading the thread

But I did read the thread?

There does seem to be a "baby-boom".

Maybe recession has anything to do with it. Miserable times = more sex?

Unedited and all that way before asking how old you are.

I got 3 cousins and an uncle that are having/had children this year. I think it's interesting.

Like there was a town in Germany I think some years back that experieced a baby-boom 9 months after there had been a lot of power troubles in the winter. They guess that not having any electricity and it being cold made people heat things up themselves :)

Not in the same week though which is the point of the thread.

But there does seem to be a lot of people that are having children at the moment. I also had 3 friends that had children late last year.

Am I not allowed to discuss this because the births didn't happen within a week?

Are you trying to argue just for the sake of it? I don't get it

What happened around your area 9 months ago? Was it hit with bad weather in early spring (I'm sure some areas were)?

i can't remember. was thinking whether it had anything to do with the wc. don't if england had a pre tournament friendly around the time and they got a bit excited

Because that was the point of the OP and everybody was taking the pee out of him as though knowing 4 people having a baby in the same week is normal - which it isn't.
There are 5 women in my office who are having a baby within the next 6 months (the latest one announced it on Friday) and 3 have just come back from having babies (but they didn't have them in the same week).

Are all of these 4 people friends of each other? Maybe they decided to try for children at the same time :o

I just don't see how I'm singled out when I agree on it and I'm asking out of interest? Just because this is OcUk don't assume that everyone has the same 'smash pasty' mentality please.

I didn't take the **** out of him at all...

alright fair enough. the other posters of the **** taking nature obviously find it quite normal to have 4 people they know become parents within a week.

Maybe they were all impregnated by aliens due to the fact the mothers knew you and the aliens wanted to get a grasp of this higher intellect?

Or maybe it's just a coincidence that a few of your mates shagged at around the same time.

A friend of ours was originally due within a week of us (September last year), but the unfortunate happened. :(

Beyond that, two people I knew were in Maternity at the same time as us, and according to the Midwives, it was a quiet period. Which leads me to believe that these things are nothing but coincidence :)

And tearing is preferred to being cut, mental!

it heals faster and more cleanly, leaving less of a scar and less chance of future pain/complications and infection :)

frankly, compared to the rest of the pain during childbirth, the tearing probably doesn't make much difference.
