Anyone ever recieved a NIP for exceeding SPECS limits?

I remember seeing an article or news broadcast which said that SPECS were effectively useless if you change lane.

I belive this was the case but not anymore

You just have to make sure you hug the side of a big lorry every time you go past a camera

Just remembered when/where I saw it.. Russell Howard mentioned it on Mock The Week, so should probably be taken with a pince of salt.

It was all over the papers a few years ago.

Sadly however they had to fix it once it became common knowledge and in the mainstream press.

I've only ever seen one SPECS area, but have driven through it multiple times, the 50 zone by Newport.

The only car I've seen hammering it at 70+ through the zone, I later saw smashed up in the middle of the road by the Severn Crossing. I remember thinking ####er as I saw the yellow Megane Coupe passing me; then thinking :eek:
