Anyone flashed their k800i to SE firmware yet ?

I have just received my free phone upgrade from vodafone (had the k750i for 18 months and it has served me well.

I just wanted to know if anyone has flashed theirs to get rid of the network menus and crap branding these operators do (I did this to my k750i back in the day but now the davinci client looks different and the site is different too)

I have bought the 10euros credits and am awaiting to go home so that I can flash it but before I do would like to catch up on the latest firmware etc!

I do not need it to be unlocked though as that can be done at the local market for a fiver, just debrand to stock SE latest firmware
 
I flash most peoples phones with unbranded software, not had a fail yet. Costs alittle bit but speeds up the phones.
 
I did a stupid thing, I'm familiar with Davinci having flashed my k700i and k750i in the past but this time round I flashed the Vodafone k800i with.....a vodafone firmware (arf....)

Anyways, another £6 later I was up using the latest Generic_UK firmware and all is good.

This phone is craploads better than the k750i - it's a little bigger but does not feel heavier :) I love the speediness at loading high res images!

Also custom themes *** :P
 
Thats why the k800i won the best phone award of SE phones last year. They are the bees knees and so good.

Yeh the custom themes are good I played around with mine loads. enjoy your new custom themes and a SE phone :)

I tried to use a friends Moto today and well....I was disgusted at how straight cut the GUI was, the same goes for Samsung/LG/Nokia (non Smartphones)

SE forever :)

You can use Wotan or Davinci client - both are straight forward and easy. Of course don't flash the phone with the exact same firmware the first time round as I did by mistake :p

Yeah I did that on both those phones too but it looks much nicer on the k800 due to better layout and bigger 240x320 screen!
