Anyone got a new Fiesta ?

Just got my new Fiesta, its the Zetec Climate and thus has aircon.

My question is that as soon as i put the aircon on the fan kicks in and stays on all the time the aircon is on. My other car doesnt do this and no car ive had with aircon has done this (inc a 04 KA)

Is this normal for the Fiesta ?

Erm, I was under the impression all cars with air conditioning do this. My Mondeo does, my Mums FTO does...

The main fan on the rad at full blast ? Makes one hell of a noise.

The C3 certinally doesnt and the corsa that just went didnt. I have never had a car with aircon that makes so much noise when its on ?

Mind i have never had a diesel thats so noisy, including my 106 old skool diesel. Ford diesels seem mega noisy and tractor esq !

On a better note its a lovelly car to drive

It's a little noisier for me but certainly is not on full blast, if the dial is on 2 I guess the sound is a 2.5, but no where near a full fat 4!!

edit: Oh you mean the radiator fan, can't say I've noticed really, but would've thought it was more a good thing that it's on that a bad thing from the extra heat generated by the compressor.
