Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has this game yet as I am tempted to get it as I love space games.

What are the pros and cons of the game?

Its got a few big flaws every sector is pretty much is the same 1 starbase few research base’s that for the most part you cannot dock at and a planet. All the pirate systems are the same jump in 3 waves of pirates then system liberated.

On the hole the game is very repetitive and once you complete the main storyline there is nothing to do apart from 1 hidden sector.

Saying that I loved the game and liked the storyline. It’s just a shame its repetitive and there’s nothing to do once you finish the storyline.

This is coming across a big more negative then I wanted, I was not disappointed with buying it. It’s a fun little game but not something your going be playing it’s a few months time.

EDIT: Imagine freelancer but less unique systems and 100’s of generic systems. Everything else is similar, good storyline, nice performance, good combat. But 1 ship only.

Its not bad, gets a bit repetative after a while.
Its more like freelancer then say X3, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but the game feels like your flying from one system to the next doing the same things. I've not played it much since my first few session on it, so maybe it improves later on.

Given the distinct lack of games in this genre, I'd probably say its worth checking out, but only just. :)

Don't forget that there is a demo that you can try :)
I'm currently going through that at the moment and it is derffinitely a fun game, but I'm busy with other stuff at the moment so I might wait for it to drop in price.

The one gripe I had with it was that the game was much easier to play with the mouse than a joystick. I would have prefered to uses the joystick but it made it significanly harder to win dog fights

Turrets make the game easy. Forward weapons might not be easy with a joystick but turrets should be doable and a joystick will not make dogfights harder with them.
