Just ordered myself a set of the above ram and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them. Do they overclock well? Have I got much chance of hitting 500MHz at 5/5/5/15 timings, or even better at the stock timings? :D

Thanks for the info :)

I will be trying to find the max for my E2160, its currently at 3.42GHz (380FSB) so even with the ram at stock it will allow me to try for 3.6GHz (400FSB). Did you by any chance see if the ram was capable of tighter timings at its stock speed?

As always adding more voltage is really down to what you feel safe with. I personally would go no more than 2.2v for 24/7 usage and will more than likely be just leaving it at 2.1v. CityLink still haven't turned up with mine but keep me posted with your progress and I will post back with some results when they turn up :)

You had some great results mate :) I think you must have got a slightly better set than mine, I tried 2.1v first and managed 912MHz at 4/4/4/12 stable in memtest.

I tried going down to 5/5/5/15 and upping the volts slightly to 2.2v but they don't want to go above 950MHz. Never mind though, I am happy with 912MHz at the C4 timings and I only paid £36 so I can't complain.

My E2160 seems to be at its peak at 3.42GHz, I did try for 3.6GHz but it needed a fairly big raise in vcore so I decided to just leave it as it is.

Well done on the special ops stick as well, that's a really nice overclock seeing as you are still at the C4 timings :)

It may pay to run a blend session on your ram, mine flew through memtest no problems but running prime95 blend restarted the system even at stock.

I have been having loads of weird problems this morning, lots of crashes and even a few warning messages about file consistency??? I even had to reactivate windows for some reason, I am not sure why

Anyway I whipped the sticks out and replaced them with my old stuff and it seems to be back to normal, just to make sure I ran prime95 blend and all was well again. Not sure what's up with them to be honest but it looks like they are going to have to go back.

Well I put it under a blend test for 8hrs last night with Prime95 on 925mhz with 4-4-4-12 2T
2.2v and I got no errors.

You may have a dodgy set of sticks and tbh, the reviews I have read have all said this kit goes easily past 900mhz without breaking a sweat so you might have lost out.

Shame really and hope your new kit gives you better results mate :)

Its good news to hear that your sticks are working well, I am not sure what was up with mine, I did send them back and since using my old stuff all of the problems have disappeared.

It was quite strange because I was having all sorts of weird issues, like you said though maybe I just got a duff set. Not sure what to get as replacements... I could go for another set of the Corsair or possibly try something else.

I have only really used Corsair and Crucial in the past so am not really sure how good other makes are. I am tempted to just get some Ballistix 5300, I did have a set once before and they were nice and stable but now there seems to be a few stories going round the forums of frequent rma's which is something that puts me off slightly.
