Anyone here flashed there 8800gts/gtx with an overclocked bios ??

As title...Am thinking of flashing my 8800gtx with an overclocked bios...
Has anyone here done this and has run into any problems ??

what you after? more voltage?

Just thinking of flashing it with higher clock speeds...(about 620 or 630 core and about 950 on the memory) not sure what shader clock yet..

safer to clock using software if all your after is clock speeds. only reason to flash bios is if your after voltage manipulation.

besides that i guess it would be fairly simple to flash the bios to say a model that comes preclocked from the factory.

flashing to a 8800ultra im not sure about since others say its a different core in them or core revision.

I was most likely going to do what i did with my 7800gtx's...Save my standard 8800gtx bios and then change the clock speeds to what i want and then flash the bios back to the card...

guess you don;t have to faff around with overclocking software then.

have you tried to nibitor? that worked on my 6800nu

Yes NiBiTor is what i would use for setting the clock speeds....

but you use different software for flashing the bios to the card "NvFlash"..

so theres no reason not to do it

apart from loosing the warranty

edited the clocks to what i wanted and flashed.

What clocks did you flash yours to (mainly what shader speed) ??
