Anyone know anything about O2 sensors? Odd problem.

Did u check your sensor off the car and heat the end up with a propane torche?.

fit neg to body of sensor
and pos to output wire

heat end for 25 seconds and you should get a voltage reading of about 0.6.

move flame and u should get a drop in voltage to 0.1 in under 5 seconds if ok at this point.

Heat for 2 mins and see if the voltage drops over this time the internal circiut is opening (a bit like a open wire).

All so check if you get a fast response on voltage by putting the flame on and off the end a bit like the test above but it will maybe be a rise to 0.2 and when removed should drop fast as well this simulates the un burnt fuel through the exaust and the sensor changing to these conditions

Looking at your chart bank 2 sensor 2 is downstream (aint done this for years now) further down the exuast if so its normal to get less spikes as sensor one should have corrected any major fuel problems.

No, I haven't - I'd be a bit hesitant about knowing how hot I was getting it. Sure they're pretty resistant to heat, but perhaps not to the >1000°C I'd be liable to deliver with a torch. I'll consider it when I replace it though, out of curiosity :D

Both sensor outputs are downstream, one on either side. Yes it would be possibly normal but there is a significant difference between the two sides and the one with less variation is reading as faulty.

If its a denso or bosch its probably the oem sensor anyway!

Hmm well it had a Bosch part number, not sure if that's the same thing :p
