Anyone played Starsky & Hutch on PS2?

How the hell do i get the light gun 2 player mode to work?

no sign of it in any menu, and its a rental so no instruction

I think you have to go into options and select player 2's controller as lightgun... not 100% sure though as I haven't played it for a looong time.
