Keep practising on LFS, joining servers and competing in an evening.

Wondering if it's worth being on a team. Anyone do anything like this?

I think there was an OCuK team, not sure if it still exists of how active it was. A google search turned up with little results.

You can find teams via the LFS website though, If I remember correctly you can log into this thing that works like a desktop, you can search teams via that. Hope this helps.

EDIT: This is what I was talking about - http://www.lfsworld.net/
Log in and go to LFS Racers Database

Yeah Scary I've been using that each night to see how many miles I've clocked up during the week. A number of functions I've not checked in it yet.

I'm sure I remember racing against you a few yearsa back n3crius.

The old OcUK Racing has now become Wide Open Throttle (***) Racing, site is www.wotracing.co.uk. We aren't really that active, although it seems to be picking up.

You see a lot of posts on the official forums of people wanting to join teams, and new teams starting and dying off all the time. I think people overestimate the value of being in a team, unless it's one of the established ones.

Pretty much all the leagues don't require you to be in a team to enter, but if you do well you might get asked to join a half decent team.

Edit: Silly forum, starring out my abbreviation :(
