anyone remember the dfi ultra-d? /sli-d?

Ive got a cheap x2 cpu, I have a ultra running bios 04/06/2006. Is this compatible with x2 cpus? I Remember X2 came out in 2005? And DFI were uber popular at the time. So I assume a 06 bios will be ok?

They support the X2's and that is the latest BIOS.

I used either 704-2bta or 623-3 with an Opteron 170 for best performance.

Do not know about bios dated 04/06/2006, but as above I flashed my ultra with 704-2bta and it works fine with my x2 4200.

for changed cpu's should i clear the cmos with the jumper? and reset all my bios settings or just power down and swap the cpus over?

Just swap them and reload defaults.
