Hey Guys,

Has anyone tried running SLI with the Asus P6X58D-E? If so what are you experiences cooling/performance wise?

Thanks

SLi, no. I have however run Crossfire 6950 (with 6970 unlocks). Performance was as expected scaling wise, and temperatures are about 6-8c higher on idle and up to around 10c higher on load when compared to a single card.

Slot spacing is a bit tighter than the first generation asus x58 boards. Running sli here on an older p6t dlx v2, good spacing, but the topmost gpu can run 10c higher than the bottom one.

Hence my addition of an antec spotcool behind the cards, keeps them within 1-2c of each other.

Yes I'm running it, it's close together and therefore noisier than the P6TD it replaced but it runs fine, i've not overclocking them with this board however as I think they'd struggle.
