Had a look about, cant see much decent that includes texts, want about 500 a month and 100 mins a month.
 
Im really giving up waiting for the phone on a good deal, I've jsut got a stop gap phone on a good contract (flext 75 + web and walk for 40 a month) and I am going to buy what ever phone I want sim free.

dont matter now, struck a deal with o2.

K800i for £69.99 and £15 pm for online 100 tarrif over 12 months. saving £100 if i was a new customer. So im happy.

how did you get that!

i could only get it for £169 for a £20 contract!

E2save.com have some good deals
 
I got offered it for £49.99 on upgrade, on o2 200 (200mins & 500 texts). Refused it and said that I'm not paying for the phone as that's the same price as it would be for a new customer :)

Need to ring back next week when they're actually in stock and speak to a specialist, I'm not paying for the phone and I'm getting money off my bill :D

I've just ordered one through e2save on orange (they say roughly 2 weeks) - got it for free on panther 45 (with 6 months free line rental and 3 months free insurance)

June 28th is still the date afaik, although we are half expecting it to be delayed.

Hmmm. The guy at Orange said I could go to CPW and get my phone upgraded on the 28th if they have it in. Its funny though. He said that doing it that way would mean I don't get any of Orange's special software. Bummer :D He did mention that some things might not work. I'm sure he's just saying that. I flashed my k750i to a w800i and never had any issues. Never had a 3G phone though.

Maybe he's not quite as cynical as where I work :p They are stating the 28th, it's just we don't like people coming in and moaning because there was a delay out of our control :D
I'd certainly expect it in the next week though. I'm in work on Tuesday so I can check for you then? :)
You can upgrade from there though and avoid Orange branding.
 
So, Haly, are you saying the Orange release is supposed to be the 28th? It's not even on their website yet, although I did email them and they said it's 'under review'.

Its listed on the CPW site as the 28th with a link to "Also on Orange" further down the page.

No.
I'm saying CPW should have it on the 28th. And when Orange make it available on upgrades, you'll be able to upgrade it from CPW without the branding.

Ok, thanks. (I couldn't remember whether you worked in CPW or Orange, but re-reading your earlier post it implies CPW).

Any ideas when it will be out from Orange? I'm just about to return a k750i - Orange have managed to take nearly 3 months to send me a jiffy bag, which is actually quite convenient as it means I should be able to get the k800i.

The reason I got the k750i (when I wanted to wait for the k800i) is that they wouldn't let me get the magic numbers & free benefit for life unless I had a new phone... which was bizarre, but I went along with it.

I know it is definitely out from day 1 on O2 and Vodafone, just not sure for other networks yet. Should know more this week though once we get all the marketing stuff through.
I keep missing the rep for Sony Ericsson stuff so I keep missing out on the really interesting stuff :o
