Anyone still actually use their Wii?

Seems to be a trend with the Wii. a lot of people i know just seem to have them as ornaments now. I've said for a while that i think its about time Nintendo stepped up to the mark and gave the world an up to date console.

On the flip side of that however, they still sell really well. I do believe it is a novelty thing though.

I use mine for mario bros, resi evil, mario kart, mario galaxy and goldeneye. Also use the iplayer a lot. Like i said in another thread the whole motion/active gaming is a novelty which soon wears off. However the wii has some great games that keep it going. I think kinect will go the same way.

If i want to be active i will go for a walk/play football, when i play games i want to relax on sofa not jump about in front of tv

I stopped using mine last october - The TV broke and I got a 42" plasma which makes the Wii look awful.

Nintendo needs to release an up to date full HD console that is backwards compatible and can pay Wii games to the same quality as the emulators out there.

They have to do something because there sales (and profits) are in decline.

Not used mine in a while, but got a good chunk of awesome games coming in the next few months.

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Kirby's Epic Yarn

Epic Mickey

Zelda Skyward Sword

etc etc.

Kinect is looking very popular from christmas (so I was told by mate in Tesco sales) - think I might be getting it as present - Xbox not been on since I got PS3.

Been playing Mario Bros Wii which is awesome and fun in two player - people forget that its not all about motion games and it still has some of the best games released recently.

Given how its dominated the sales will be inevitable that it will decline now especially with release of Kinect. The PS3 motion system not going down as well with christmas shoppers but with the Kinect lag issues it looks to be more popular with your more traditional console gamers who will need accuracy and speed.

Didnt have mine on for well over a year. Sold it now. Least used console I've ever bought. MLB power pros was the only good game and my fun on that got stopped with an update to bar the freeloader.

Love love love MLB power pros. Was one of the best sports games I've ever played. R.I.P

I actually game on the Wii more than the 360 and PS3. Sin and Punishment 2 is always there demanding practise and it's the only console that gets used when friends come round.

Have just moved into a shared house, so in addition to having Goldeneye on order, I also now have to finally buy Mario Kart, get NSMB at some point, and actually get Galaxy 2 for myself. That as well as the new Pro Evo, if impulse takes me too.

And yet I barely get to play it at the moment as it is, as we're too busy playing Pro Evo on the 360 to get round to the poor Wii. :o

Sin and Punishment 2 is always there demanding practise and it's the only console that gets used when friends come round.
WAIT WAIT WAIT.

When did they make a new Sin and Punishment??!

Also had my mine since launch, still play it. Nearly finished Sonic Colours and like playing the Castlevania classics and remakes. Wish they put some more virtual console up though.

Got a Wii at launch, sold it a few months later as it wasn't being used. Bought another earlier this year with a tonne of games, kids used it loads at first but lost interest. It sat under the tv in the lounge doing nothing, so got traded in.

This year has been a lot better for wii games with Mario galaxy 2, Metroid, Sin and Punishment and some good 3rd party games like Monster hunter, Red steel 2 and Goldeneye, the wii software line-up hasn’t been as dire as the last few years.
