It's total bull****. Was talking to a guy at the bar about it and he got well angry. The rumours change each year too, most people were saying that you got free entrance to 2007 if you kept it on... I smell BS.

I still have my V wristband like, it's just not rotting away on my arm ;)
 
Still got mine on, find its actually an interesting conversation starter.

Quite often get random people on night out come over and say hey you went to Reading? What was it like, i'm thinking of going next year etc.

Or in the case of one barman that turned out to have been camped near me at Reading, have a cheap drink!

You get 2 cans of beer if you keep it on for a year and are among the first 150 people to claim them. I don't keep it on for that reason though.
 
There are NO incentives for keeping your wristband on. Jesus, that's one stubborn rumour that seems to grow two heads every time you kill one. It's been going in various guises since almost as long as the festival has.
 
i usually keep all my festival wristbands but i certainly dont keep it on, but it is in my room :p

however my two mates who i went to leeds with this year are still wearing theres now, and one of them is still wearing his download wristband too, scruffy bugger

This is way more of a reason to keep it on, loved having this happen when I had mine on.
 
Yeah still got mine on (from this year). My 2005 band didn't last very long. It came off in a fit of rage when I missed a delivery while I was in the shower for 10 minutes :mad:

People got 2 cans this year. FACT.
 
i take mine off as soon as possible but then again the staff ones are just cheap plastic :( not nice cloth ones and if you came up to me at the bar next yr with it still on il give you a few free ones just for the sheer determination of it lol
