Soldato
Having owned 2 G25's in the past (sold them both because i was skint on both occasions) i've been missing my fix of racing games with a wheel so i decided to get a cheaper alternative and went for the thrustmaster F430. I picked it up second hand for £40 but it's brand new and never been used so i'm very pleased with that.
First initial impressions are that it's a very very good wheel for the money i paid. Better built than the G25, quiter due to being belt driven compared to the g25's straight cut gears and it feels spot on in Dirt 3 and F1 2011.
The only things i miss compared to the G25 is the ability to map the G25's sequential shift knob to be used as a handbrake in Dirt3, but there are plenty of buttons on the F430 wheel which can be used to map handbrake. I never used the 900degrees of rotation on the G25 and i never used the clutch, so this F430 wheel is proving to be perfect for my needs. For £40 you really can't go wrong.
