Anyone think Red Steel is rubbish?

Howdy,

I got Red Steel the other day after disregarding the amount of bad stuff I heard about it, and after playing it for quite a while, I love the game!

I also heard the controls where really hard to get use to??? I got the controls sussed straight away, and this they work really well... never got so much pleasure out of reloading a gun than I have in Red Steel!

The reason for this post I suppose is just to see if anyone here doesn't like it? Cos I really can;t see where anyone who bought it could not like it (cos if you bought it your into this sorta game I would assume)?

If your thinking of getting it, I would say go get yourself a copy, its fantastic!

.... although, the save system is a bit naff, but no game is perfect I suppose :)
 
I've only had the chance to play through the first part, and apart from a few niggles I thought it was alright. The control system was miles better than COD3 which tbph was awful - I never really had the patience to learn, even if I did take getting used to.

Hopefully I'll be given the chance to play RS again in the next couple weeks to which I'll be able to give a full examination of!
 
I think red steel is really good, a good twist on the old and very tired 1st person genre. I honestly think 1st person games are the most boring.

But, red steel is good, i suck at it though. Chuckle.

we get a wii in the house tomoro :D thnk red steels one of the games they got so ill drop back in this thread then hehe

You got Zelda aswell right? You need Zelda!

If you like these sorta games, you will love Red Steel I'm sure of it, I really do like it!
 
Not played it yet... the Wii in our house is really meant for our son, but I'll try and sneak some "grown-up" games in every now and again. Will probably pick this one up 2nd hand eventually.
 
i've played it enough at my friends house to not buy it. It was a good first go at an FPS on the Wii but i'm waiting for something that a company actually put effort into.
 
its fun at first because of the controls but im struggling to make myself complete it faced with better games.

The controls in Red Steel are my favourite so far out of that, COD3 and far Cry, Though what is with the lag in COD3 ???

I'm somewhere in campaign 13/14 I think and it just freezes and strafes till I get gunned down and die, no other game has ever done that. Poor show in my opinion. :(

we got it (red steel) but i didnt get chance to play it today

was too busy fighting over wii sports and making myself dizzy and getting lost in cod3 :o

got zelda and red steel still to try but might not even get chance till next weekend now :(
 
My brother came over yesterday and we gave Red Steel a go.
9 hours later at 1am we reluctantly turned the machine off.
We both find the sword fighting a little rubbish so far, kill more bosses by randomly waving the wiimote about than by trying to fight them.
We both really enjoyed the game though, very good fun, quite hard too. Like it a lot.

Agree with you on the sword sword fighting
