Anyone used musicMagpie.co.uk?

we sent a load of tosh from the loft to them, took them a few weeks, but would use them again, just for ease really. Didnt have any problems with them about condition of any items either!

My £10 CDs sale to them was only knocked down by a few pence and they were all pretty scratched.
 
i put about 300 dvds on last week which took ages to do but they offered about £130, i cba selling them all seperate so im happy to take it.

most dvds got 30p but some got up to £4.
 
My Spinal Tap DVD got more than some of the newer highstreet DVDs, which I also found a bit weird.
 
You always get some inconsistencies when they use a database for the prices. I remember taking 'Aladin' SNES game into a game shop years ago.(Fantasy World - Hanley. If anyone remember it) It had no box but they offered me £17 for it. I was expecting about £5.
 
I sent some games to them last week. Some old Flight sim terrain packs, my misses got me from a car boot sale got me afew quid each. Just waiting for y cheque of £14

Any idea what they do with it all? Can imagine theres much demand for 8 year old computer games.
 
I was offered £1.75 for GTA San Andrea's and £3.40 for Need for speed Carbon, but might send them anyway, don't work so can't sell them on the bay. Also went to put Modern Warfare 2 and BC2 on but they don't accept them. I think its works like a scrap yard, you bring a car they give you what they think / Value is and then they crush/Sell and make there money that way, where else does it go ? It could work in the same aspect.
They send out a free-post envelope/package.

But they wouldn't take the singles or a couple of albums with odd barcodes. Tempted to stick the lot up on an auction site (with a reserve), see if anyone can top that.
 
Quick update if anyone's interested in using musicmagpie:

I traded in about 270 cds, dvds and ps2/xbox games valued at £264. They authorised the trade on 15/09, sent a courier to collect it on 17/09, received it on 24/09, sent a cheque for £264 on 28/09 which arrived this morning (05/10).

Happy with the money but getting my hands on it has taken longer than expected (got to wait another week for the cheque to clear).
