It honestly took me a while to figure out what you meant by this, until I realised that you were accusing me of being responsible for attempting to re-settle Ireland, or something. I don't even know what you're talking about, as I must confess to being ignorant on the history of Ireland.

The state of Israel was inserted into Palestine. What did people think was going to happen? You put two conflicting religious communities on top of each other, and it was obvious trouble was going to start.

It's actually interesting to look at it from a Christian perspective, in that there are prophesies in the Bible that the Jews would lose Jerusalem and never be able to return to it, but that's another discussion for another thread.

Totally agree. What was it some phsycologist said. Society shows that an abused child is likely to become an abuser when an adult.

Seems to carry over on a bigger scale.

I think certain individuals in high places, sympathetic to the zionist movement were driven enough to collaborate with nazis to achieve their end objectives, regardless of the cost.

Just watching the programme in question and making some reasonable extrapolations, it's not that shocking to believe religiously motivated people would do this ... muslims do it, why not the jews?

The programme didn't do too much for me really. It painted Jews in a bad light but hey the whole country is a mess.

Israel is so highly charged with so many religions, they all want a piece of it and claim it is their holy land for one reason or another. The whole earth is out there yet these very different religions all want to come together at Israel.

Religion. Ha!

It makes me sick.

Watched this a couple of days ago, pretty disturbing to be honest. Still available on iPayer, worth a watch.

Seems like the Israel's are not at all interested in peace at all and are more concerned about grabbing more land until they have just about everything.

Like the bit in the documentary about the "honey house" which is a Israeli owned house (shady circumstances) right bang smack in the middle of an Arab neighbourhood. Now the house is owned by an Israeli that conveniently allows them to send troops, check points etc in to the neighbourhood to "protect" the property. Seems more like they are trying to harass the neighbours until they are driven insane and just give up and leave. Just as seen in the documentary when the Arab "fathers" are woken at 4am in the morning with gunfire and so. Then more Israeli's move in and so and so on until they occupy a large enough population and claim the whole village as their own "natural growth".

That guy at the end really bugged me “There’s nothing nothing you or the world can do about it”
