I have just started to install a swiftech apex ultra plus to my p5w, For a couple of minutes I thought I had blown my mb as artic silver had shorted out my northbridge 
anyway back to my main point I have just bent the old northbridge h/s out of the way and applied my mcw30 to the chipset is it Ok to cut the heatpipe as i will still need the other end to cool my mofsets? using the asus fan supplied.
ps its quite a stuggle fittling a w/c set into a standard case very little room to work in. plus as only two clip slots exist to attach the nothbride waterblock to the board, in my mind it not as secure as it should be any ideas?
I may also need to upgrade to a bigger case. Anyway the cooling system is installed in a fashion any suggestions welcome.
