Why can't you propose in Jamaica?

Because only one of us will be there..
Im using the money I would have spent taking her to Venice to propose to buy a ticket to Jamaica for her so that she can go to her mums wedding..

That shouldn't be your problem really - if her mum is racing halfway across the world to get married, I would have expected she would help her own daughter out if she's struggling to afford it...

Also I don't think having "Dear x will you marry me" in big letters in Picadilly is particularly romantic. But what do I know.

Im not going to the wedding, im buying her a ticket so she can, but we can't afford for both of to go..
