By legit I mean you are fully insured, paying your taxes, have a huge stack of legal forms etc.

Not worth the risk doing weddings without insurance, and some couples won't even book you if you haven't got it!
Not really a huge stack of forms, but we are registered as a partnership so we have to do tax forms for both of us, and the business, which is a bit of a pain.
Luckily the other half deals with it all!

I was when I did it for a living... now I take out insurance if I need it, ie to cover weddings if I get asked etc.
