Is there any way to turn off auto syncing to FB ect in aperature?

Accidently deleted an album and it instantly synced the deletion with facebook, now i have to let it re-upload them missing the comments ect.

My advice would be to actually not use Aperture's integrated Facebook and Flickr syncing tools.

As you've now discovered yourself, they are annoying to manage. I now just export an album I want to upload to either site with settings I've created.

I really wanted to use the FB export feature originally but gave up with it in the end as there are just too many things wrong with it IMO (i.e. accidentally deleting albums, renaming the versions when I don't want it to etc.) so now I just export them as JPEG and upload them to whichever site

Yeh i figured, tempted to swap over to lightroom after trying the beta but re-organising all my albums after import is a pain!

Yeah the Facebook sync is a ball ache. There are third party Export to Facebook plugins that might be worth investigating. To be honest, if they don't improve performance I'm just going to write it off and move to LightRoom. Its a god awful pig of an app for me.
