cant believe what she did although same happend to me during my divorce of wife 1.0 - also cant believe how calm you are but "letting it go" is a good way to go!

Good luck - if you get stauck for parts I am certain the good natured OC's will all chip in - me included if it helps you out.

Have a used 15" tft (works but not very sexy) lying around if you NEED it - FOC and delivered!

Something is missing from this story. You tell her you don't love her any more (she must have at least seen the signs) and then at a later stage she comes in the house and smashes five bells out of your PC?

I mean if she was a bit mental (and given you had been married for nine years) I'd have assumed that you would have noticed she had slight mental issues and took steps to protect your assets.

However I have to say if my wife had smashed up my much beloved MacBook then I would have extracted swift and furious vengance.

I can't afford to do anything unfortunately.. not in the sort of job that I can risk even a chance of having something like that linked to me and keep working.. I'll just wait and see what the terms of settlement are and then take the cost of replacing the pc out of that... of course when I bought it a while back it was top spec.. so whatever I replace it with will have to be of a similar spec when that happens...

She emptied the house of half of everything over 5 months ago.. I thought she'd got it all out of her system- did change the locks previously (strangely the day after everything went) but had nasty letter from her solicitor, then spoke to mine and he said.. ermm.. yeah.. they're right.. so I had to change them back...

I'm guessing this was a final ditch attempt at revenge before it's all finalised and she legally couldn't get into the house any more.... guess I got complacent..

... but your new dell XPS laptop (bought off a mate and no receipt) was stolen

Edit: Oh and smash pasties and stuff from Orbit etc..

Guess she didn't see it coming then. I'd have not changed the locks back if I knew she was a bit unstable and would have instructed my solicitors to inform the others why I won't be changing them back.

However hindsight is a wonderful thing. All you can really do is chalk it down to one of lifes experiences and go on with life. Oh and build yourself a better PC!

Prob about 10 -15 years for murder i think :confused:

At least Stargate worlds would be close to completion by the time i come out

They say you cant change the current locks? Did they say you can ADD to the existing locks? Get a couple of dead bolts (think thats what they are) and put them top and bottom of the door. If she does come back with another key to have another samsh up sesh by the time she goes through her solicitor etc again hopefully everything will be sorted.

It really annoys me the police cant do anything about stuff like this as well, its criminal damage at the end of the day

What were her reasons for smashing up the PC? Did you use to turn her down for 10 rounds of CS:S before bed? or maybe some WoW Raids instead of a night out?

Well, if the Police can't help, I'd go and destroy some of her prized possetions:

You know where she parks her car?
Anything of hers you can destroy/devalue?
Anyway of embarrassing her (sextape, youtube as suggested?)

Seriously no need for criminal damage my friend. I am sorry for your loss. Don't get mad, get even.
