App for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 to read kids books?

Does such a thing exist? Our little lad of 8 yrs loves reading. We are going on holiday abroad fairly soon and rather than take a load of books with us I wondered if an app where you can download kids books to read is available? Free would be good, don't mind paying for it though. If there isn't an app that is suitable whats the best way and where to download books in say PDF form or similar?

You have to buy the books but how about the Kindle reader app?

Yes, had a look at that and its worth a pop. I've also just discovered that my Amazon Prime account lets me borrow one new book per month free from the Kindle lending library.
