Applause for Audi

Are you for real?
How are they massively different?
They have the same interior, the same exterior(a few differences on m3 of course). the only huge difference is the engine.. of course I am half asleep so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

They are a totally different car Chives. An 335i will not handle like a M3 does, neither will it perform like an M3 does. It's like saying the Audi S4/RS4 are the same car. They're just not.

RS exists to sell S-Line Audi's. I wonder why more people dont get this?

You all want an RS4 but you dont sell nearly enough carpets or fix enough clients printers so you get a 2.0 TDI S-LINE instead and sit in the outside lane with it.

Erm. Doesn't the RS breed pre-date the S-Line pap by quite a few years?

Not exactly a huge loss. They should concentrate on making more drivers cars than just desirable ones. The fast audis have always been a bit hit and miss, even the RS5 gets trounced in this months car magazine.

If you put it like that. Does that mean the M BMW's exist to sell the M-Sport BMW's?

Aside from the engine which is a pretty major thing in itself being a whole litre and 2 cylinders larger and lacking forced induction.

A mechanical lsd, wider track, wider wheels, larger brakes, adjustable stiffer suspension and of course a sharp high revving v8.

One is a sharp track ready sports car, the other is not.

Well of course you get all the tweaks that they make to the handling and suspension and other small things.
But the 335i and E90 M3 are not that different.. Of course there are a few things. But not they are THAT different. Same with the Q7.
Hang on. The E92 M3 uses 80% (and I am not exaggerating) different parts to the regular E92s.

I would consider them fairly minor changes.. but then again I know very little
Then STFU and don't post with certainty and start defending yourself when you're plainly talking out of your bumhole.

This would have been perfectly fine if you'd have said "As far as I understand things, the 335i and M3 are hardly any different".

Also, if that's the case, does that mean that GT series 911s exist to shift carreras?

Want a throughbred sports car, not a highly enough paid docotor/lawyer/business man? Get a carreras 2s instead. You'll still be able to tell people you own a Porsche at parties, and that's what's important. Am I right?

That's right, I went there.

Yes, a major reason for the existence of there cars is to act as a halo model for the rest of the range.

I see. So what is the alternative for Mercedes? I've never really seen AMG downgrades. Unless you can call the CDI's/Kompressors them. The new models do come with AMG kits. So, would that be along the same lines?

CDI/Kompressor is a type of engine not a trim level

Have you not noticed how similar the C Class Sport looks to the C63 AMG?
